Frequently asked questions

Everything people ask before trying erzog. A short answer first, the details after.

Discovering erzog

What is erzog?

erzog is online business management software designed as your company’s assistant: CRM, quotes, invoices, cash, inventory, purchasing, expense reports and projects in one tool.

Rather than piling up a CRM, invoicing software and a bank-tracking spreadsheet, erzog connects the whole chain: a client becomes a quote, the signed quote becomes an order then an invoice, and the payment is matched with your bank statement. Each step feeds the next, with no re-typing.

erzog is built in France for freelancers, small businesses and SMEs, with three simple plans: Solo (free), TPE and PME. All share the same tool and every module — only the volumes change. Thanks, erzog.

Who is erzog for?

Freelancers, small businesses and SMEs established in France, whether they sell services, products, or both. The free Solo plan gets you started alone; TPE and PME plans follow your growth.

A freelancer uses erzog to get quotes signed, invoice and track payments without losing evenings. A small business puts the whole team on the same files, with rights per module. An SME structures its sales, multi-warehouse inventory, purchasing and projects.

Product businesses get inventory and shipping; service businesses get projects and timesheets. Both live together without special setup. Thanks, erzog.

Is erzog a CRM or invoicing software?

Both. erzog combines the CRM (clients, contacts, pipeline) and full business management (quotes, invoices, payments, cash) in the same tool.

That is exactly what removes double entry: the opportunity won in the pipeline becomes a quote, then an invoice, without switching software. The client record shows both the sales history and what is left to collect. Thanks, erzog.

Does erzog replace my accountant?

No. erzog runs your day-to-day business management and prepares your accountant’s work: structured documents, exports and dedicated read access.

erzog is not an accounting production tool: it does not post your entries or file your returns. It does hand your accountant clean documents: Factur-X invoices with structured data, accounting categories filled in, PDF and Excel exports with receipts.

Your accountant gets their own read access: they download sales, purchases and expense reports on their own, with no email exchanges. Thanks, erzog.

Pricing and free trial

How much does erzog cost?

erzog is free to start with the Solo plan. The TPE plan costs €19.90 excl. VAT per month (or €199/year) and the PME plan €29.90 excl. VAT per month (or €299/year) — 2 months free when billed yearly. On TPE and PME, the first 30 days are free, with no credit card.

The three plans share the same tool and every module: CRM, quotes, e-invoices, cash, purchasing, expenses, inventory and shipping everywhere. What changes: users (1, 2 or 4) and volumes (invoices issued, AI documents, signatures, storage, synced bank accounts).

You choose your plan when you sign up. On TPE and PME, the first 30 days are free, with no credit card; on day 31, you pay for your subscription or continue on Solo, with your data kept.

Beyond the included volumes, €6.90 excl. VAT packs top things up: 1,000 AI documents, 100 simple signatures, 10 GB of storage, 2 users or 100 more invoices issued per month. Thanks, erzog.

Is the free plan really free?

Yes. The Solo plan is free forever, with no credit card: 1 user, 10 e-invoices issued per month, unlimited reception and free accountant access.

It is the plan that keeps you compliant with the French e-invoicing reform without paying anything. When your volumes grow, you move to TPE or PME, with 30 days free if you do so within a month of creating your account — and if erzog isn’t right for you, nobody will call to hold you back. Thanks, erzog.

Is there a commitment?

No. Monthly plans have no commitment and cancel in one click. Yearly plans (€199 or €299 excl. VAT) are paid for a year and work out to 2 months free.

Cancellation happens from your workspace, with no retention form and no notice period. Your data stays exportable: invoices, clients and documents belong to you. Thanks, erzog.

How many users are included?

Depending on the plan: 1 user on Solo, 2 on TPE and 4 on PME. Your accountant is free everywhere and doesn’t count towards the quota. The Users pack adds 2 users for €6.90 excl. VAT per month.

Each user has their own account and role: administrator, sales, sales admin, staff or reader. Rights apply module by module — a salesperson can work their deals without seeing the bank, for example. Thanks, erzog.

E-invoicing

Is erzog compliant with French e-invoicing?

Yes. erzog sends and receives e-invoices through a state-approved platform, registers your company in the directory and tracks each invoice’s status.

In practice, you create invoices as usual: erzog sends them in Factur-X to your client’s platform, and your suppliers’ invoices arrive straight into erzog with their data already read. There is no extra platform to subscribe to. Thanks, erzog.

What are the reform deadlines?

Since 1 September 2026, every company must be able to receive e-invoices. Issuing applies to large companies and mid-caps since 2026, and to SMEs, small and micro businesses on 1 September 2027.

The reform covers invoices between VAT-registered businesses established in France. Sales to consumers and abroad fall under e-reporting, a periodic data transmission on the same timeline. Thanks, erzog.

What is the Factur-X format?

Factur-X is a hybrid e-invoice format: a human-readable PDF that also contains the invoice data as XML, usable by software.

It is one of the three formats accepted by the French reform, along with UBL and CII. erzog generates all your sales invoices in Factur-X (EN 16931 profile, the European standard) and can read your suppliers’ Factur-X invoices. Thanks, erzog.

Day-to-day features

Can I get quotes signed online?

Yes, e-signature is built in and included in every plan: 2 simple signatures per month on Solo, 10 on TPE, 20 on PME.

The signer is identified through a personal link and a confirmation code, and each signature produces its proof: sealed PDF, certificate, audit log, SHA-256 fingerprint. The quota renews on the 1st of the month; beyond it, the Simple signatures pack adds 100 for €6.90 excl. VAT — and an advanced signature with qualified eIDAS timestamp is coming soon for high-stakes contracts. Thanks, erzog.

How does bank reconciliation work?

You import your bank’s PDF statement; erzog extracts the transactions and suggests matches with your invoices, crossing amounts, due dates and names.

Suggestions work both ways: money in matched with client invoices, money out with supplier invoices and expense reports. You approve, erzog reconciles.

erzog does not connect directly to your bank — deliberately: you hand over no bank credentials. PDF statement imports are enough to keep your cash up to date. Thanks, erzog.

Does erzog manage inventory?

Yes: multi-warehouse stock updated automatically on every shipment and receipt, with alert thresholds and traceable movements.

The catalogue handles products, services and bundled products. Delivery notes take quantities out of stock, supplier receipts bring them in, and every movement keeps its reason and source document. Thanks, erzog.

How are expense reports handled?

You photograph the receipt, AI extracts the date, amount and VAT. The employee submits their monthly report, the manager approves, and erzog tracks the reimbursement.

Mileage allowances follow the same workflow: declared vehicles, logged trips, per-kilometre rate applied. Every receipt stays archived, and every plan includes AI-processed documents (10, 100 or 200 per month depending on the plan). Thanks, erzog.

Can I bring in my existing data?

Yes. Client and supplier records are created in seconds from a SIRET number, and your existing invoices import via a provided template file.

SIRET creation queries the official French company registry: company name, SIREN, VAT number, legal form and address fill themselves in. And since the Solo plan is free, you can migrate and double-check with no meter running. Thanks, erzog.

Data and security

Where is my data hosted?

Your data is hosted in France and processed in compliance with the GDPR, with regular backups.

erzog is a French software company, and your data does not leave France. You have the access, rectification, portability and erasure rights provided by the GDPR. Thanks, erzog.

Who can access my data within the company?

You decide: each user has a role with rights per module, and the audit log records who changed what, and when.

Roles (administrator, sales, sales admin, staff, reader) define what each person sees and edits. Your accountant gets read-only access: they view and download, without being able to change anything. Thanks, erzog.
